NCLLS Seeking Community Representatives
29 May 2014
The next step in the development of North Coast Local Land Services (NCLLS) will be the formation of the Community Advisory Group. Community stakeholder representatives are invited to lodge an Expression of Interest in joining the Community Advisory Group. Expressions of interest can be lodged from Monday 26 May to Monday 16June 2014.
Chair of NCLLS Board, Mr Kent Lee, is excited at the prospect of the Group's formation and said "the Group will be a significant milestone in establishment of the NCLLS."
"NCLLS is currently delivering a comprehensive range of programs and projects throughout the NCLLS region to support farmers, landholders and land managers with sustainable agriculture, pest and disease matters, emergency management and natural resource related activities."
"In addition to continuing this great work, we want to provide local stakeholders with an effective voice as we plan and carry out NCLLS' land services programs" he said.
The NCLLS' Community Advisory Group will be a high level advisory group of key community stakeholder representatives providing advice to assist the NCLLS in its delivery of services and functions. The Group will consist of representatives drawn from the North Coast Local Land Services' region.
"Having representatives from a range of land management interests including farming, industry, conservation and community groups is a fantastic opportunity for both local stakeholders and the NCLLS to engage in positive discussion and guide the region's land services," Mr Lee said.
To Express an Interest in membership of the NCLLS' Community Advisory Group, email under the subject line of 'CAG-EoI', to email@example.com . The NCLLS' Community Advisory Group Expression of Interest period will close on Monday 16 June 2014.
