North Coast Local Land Services welcomes new District Vet

North Coast Local Lands Services (NCLLS) is pleased to advise its ratepayers that Cassie Maria has commenced as District Veterinarian, based at their South Grafton office.
Cassie comes to NCLLS from a background in private veterinary practice in Bundaberg, Queensland. She has hit the ground running having assisted with the response to the recent Hendra Virus case in Murwillumbah.
As part of the team of NCLLS District Veterinarians, Cassie will contribute to providing the frontline official animal health service in NSW. District Veterinarians deliver state-wide programs that address chemical residues in livestock and diseases of state and national significance that have impacts on the trade or safety of livestock and livestock products. In addition, they work with local producers to promote better livestock health and improved animal productivity. District Vets are available for disease investigations of a herd or flock nature such as mortality investigations, ill thrift or poor reproductive performance.Cassie can be contacted at South Grafton office on 6642 3699.
